Rising Allsorts

For ages 7-9

We accept students on a termly basis - our Spring and Summer terms for 2026 are available to book now.

Rising Allsorts is the next step for young performers aged 7 to 9 who are ready to build their confidence and start developing real musical theatre skills. Taught by professional teachers with backgrounds in the West End, touring, TV, and film, this class is designed to inspire creativity while gently introducing structure and technique in singing, dancing, and acting.

At this stage, students explore more complex material and performance styles while continuing to learn through imaginative play and teamwork. The focus is on encouraging individuality, building stage presence, and nurturing a love for storytelling - all in a supportive and energetic environment.

What's in Store?

  • Vocal Technique & Performance: Students begin learning healthy vocal habits, including breathing, projection, and pitch control, while singing songs from popular musicals. Sessions are playful and expressive, helping students grow in vocal confidence and musical awareness.

  • Choreography & Dance: Fun and energetic dance routines introduce young performers to basic musical theatre styles. Classes build coordination, rhythm, and confidence in movement, while encouraging children to connect physically with music and character.

  • Acting & Character Development: Through drama games, simple scripts, and creative improvisation, students explore how to build characters, express emotions, and work together in scenes. Acting is introduced in a way that makes it accessible and exciting, building empathy and imagination.

  • Body Awareness & Conditioning: Each session includes movement based activities to develop posture, balance, and body awareness - giving young performers the physical tools to feel strong, confident, and in control on stage.

  • Teamwork & Ensemble Building: Students learn how to work as a group, take turns, listen, and support one another. These skills are essential in musical theatre and help students feel part of something bigger - beginning to understad a true sense of ensemble.

  • Performance Opportunities: Each term includes a minimum of one performance opportunity, though students typically take part in four to five showcases throughout the term. These regular chances to perform help build confidence, stage presence, and give students the opportunity to put what they've learned into action - while getting used to being on stage in front of an audience.

  • Personal Growth & Confidence: Alongside performance, students develop valuable life skills including focus, discipline, communication, empathy, and self-belief. Our goal is to help them grow not just as performers, but as confident and capable young individuals.

  • Encouragement & Feedback: To support ongoing development, students receive individual feedback designed to help students recognise their progress and feel proud of their efforts. To support their progress, every student also receives written feedback during the term—celebrating their strengths and offering gentle guidance to help them continue growing as young performers.

  • Community & Social Events: At Creative Allsorts, we believe in building a strong, supportive community both on and off the stage. Each term, we try to host at least one dedicated social event where students can relax, have fun, and connect with their peers outside of the training environment. From themed parties and theatre trips to team-building activities, these events are designed to strengthen friendships, boost morale, and create a sense of belonging within our community.

Rising Allsorts offers the perfect blend of fun, creativity, and structured learning - helping young performers take their first steps toward the spotlight with joy, skill, and growing confidence.
